The Venue
THE HISTORIC EMIL BACH HOUSE | 7415 N Sheridan Rd, Chicago, IL 60626
The Emil Bach House is a piece of architectural history in Chicago’s Far North Side. Designed by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the home was built in 1915 in his late Prairie style. An elegant Japanese tea house and adjacent gardens create a charming indoor/outdoor wedding experience. In conjunction with the historic Lang House next door, the Emil Bach House will house Caralyn, Matt, and their wedding party for the entire wedding weekend! We look forward to hosting the after party and a Sunday farewell brunch on the property as well.
Places to Stay
We have room blocks at two hotels in downtown Evanston, about 10 minutes north of the venue. The Hyatt House offers large, modern rooms with a rooftop patio and complimentary breakfast, while The Graduate has a bed and breakfast vibe, with charming vintage accommodations and a restaurant on site. Travel
FOR GUESTS WHO ARE FLYING
The closest airports are O’Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW). From there, you can request a ride share, hail a cab, or pick up a pre-arranged rental car or taxi. Evanston is about a 30 minute ride from O’Hare, and 52 minutes from Midway.
GETTING TO THE VENUE
If you are driving, please note that parking at the Emil Bach House is reserved for vendors. However, street parking is often available, and if not, there is a convenient 24/7 parking garage at 7331 N. Sheridan. Otherwise, ride shares are widely available around the venue and hotels, and we also recommend the following taxi services, which can be pre-arranged:
